These are part of a series of Seven Oil Paintings ( unique unto themselves ) yet connected. Each consecutive piece has an aspect from the previous one, adding complex variations that wouldn't exist otherwise. Each one is available as a Poster, collectable signed & numbered Limited Edition Giclee ( in 2008 ) as well as a postcard.

Telling stories with a humorous slant is my passion. Since I have so many ideas that I can't wait to draw and paint, I decided to Create a series of seven interconnected Art pieces with an emphasis on fun, whimsy, and unique weirdness (some might say) adding hidden modern iconography and including unique symbolism. My style is a mix of all of my background as a professional artist over the last 28 years. ( you'll see influences from my Medical Illustration past, Cartoony realistic Portraits will pervade many pieces because of my long love for comic books and Caricatures. Each subject painted are in the language of personal experience in our real world, but altered. ) My paintings Poke fun at serious everyday issues that have caught the popular cultures attention. And, since we live in the 21st century - adding a modern edge ties it all together. My goal is to invite the viewers into a world they have never seen which is completely my creation, yet they can relate to. |
